Skate Birmingham - inline skating and rollerblading in the Midlands

If you would like to start or improve your skating technique you have found the right place!
Inline skating is a fun way to keep fit and also a great way to get around and meet people.

I teach inline skating to kids, adults and even those beyond retirement age. My oldest regular is 73 years old! I am a former instructor with Citiskate the UK's largest inline skate school offering rollerblading lessons and events

Taking you from absolute beginner level to comfortable park skater will include explaining equipment and safety considerations, stationary position, forwards skating, stopping and turning. We can even do more advanced techniques if you want to progress to this level.

I can also rent inline skates as part of a lesson (see below).

I am available on Sundays and some Saturdays for lessons.

Rental skates are available in sizes 5 to 11. The cost is an extra £5 per session

When skating SkateBirmingham recommend the following guidelines from the UK Inline Skating Association


Considerate -  Skate on the left, pass on the right announcing your directions to others with hand and voice signals where appropriate.

Legal - Follow national and local laws governing skating and the Highway Code when on the road.

Aware - Make considerations for road hazards and the weather.

Safe - Wear a cycle or skate helmet together with wrist, knee and elbow protection. Make regular equipment checks and repair or replace where necessary.

Skill - Skate in areas that are suitable for your skill level and aim to further improve your skills with a lesson from a UKISA qualified instructor.
